Restore the gift shop floodlights
To restore the floodlights in Terrible Lizards, install the basement fuses in the gift shop’s pillar fuseboxes, connect the upper power plugs, then return through the office and hold the floor-level pillar switches. Once the lights are on, approach the exit to the right of the office, then retreat to the basement when the Bronto blocks your escape.
Reach the office and get Stella’s instructions
Before reaching this task, finish the theater and Watering Hole routes, obtain the flashlight and clear the meteor-button obstacle. Continue backstage and into the gift shop, where the office is on the far side. Once you arrive, use that office as your landmark for the fuse route and your eventual return from the rafters.
Watch the VHS in the office and finish the conversation with Stella. Her instructions send you to the basement to collect the fuses needed for the floodlights. Keep your flashlight ready, because you will need it inside the basement.
Collect the basement fuses
- Leave the office heading right to begin the approach to the basement.
- Turn left at the end of that route to reach the basement entrance.
Enter 1903 at the basement keypad to unlock the door and gain access to the fuse supply.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
- Collect the fuse straight ahead when you reach the bottom of the basement.
- Collect the next fuse farther back and slightly to the left of the first position.
- Collect the final fuse after another left turn, completing the three-fuse supply needed upstairs.
- Return upstairs with the fuses to begin working on the gift shop’s pillar fuseboxes.
Repair the office, toys and arcade fuseboxes
The fuseboxes are on pillars near the office, the toys section and the arcade. The dinosaur mascot starts following you during this part, so create distance before stopping at a box. Keep track of these landmarks, because the upper controls and later floor-level switches bring you back around the same pillars.
- Install and repair a fuse in the pillar fusebox near the office to complete that box’s repair.
- Install and repair the next fuse in the pillar fusebox near the toys section to complete another repair.
- Install and repair the remaining fuse in the pillar fusebox near the arcade to finish the fusebox work.
Take the arcade vent to the upper power plugs
After the fuseboxes are repaired, take the arcade route into the rafters. Your next controls are above the pillars, reached by platforming across the upper part of the gift shop. Complete those connections before returning through the office for the floor-level switch task.
- Enter the arcade after installing the fuses to begin the route towards the upper platforms.
- Follow the arcade straight ahead to reach the turn at its far end.
- Take the left turn at the end of the arcade to find the vent.
- Crawl through the vent to reach the rafters and begin the upper platforming route.
- Connect the first of the three upper power plugs along the rafters route to begin completing the upper connections.
- Connect the next upper power plug as you continue across the platforms above the pillars.
- Connect the remaining upper power plug to finish the upper power connections.
- Follow the vent near the end of the upper route back into the office.
- Finish Stella’s call in the office before heading out to operate the floor-level floodlight switches.
Activate the floor-level floodlight switches
Return to the office, toys and arcade pillars for their floor-level switches. Each interaction requires you to hold the interact button, so time your approach around the Bronto’s position. Treat the following landmarks as a route around the room, adjusting your next stop if its body blocks the way.
- Hold the interact button at the office pillar’s floor-level switch until that interaction is complete.
- Hold the interact button at the toys pillar’s floor-level switch until that interaction is complete.
- Hold the interact button at the arcade pillar’s floor-level switch to finish activating all three floodlight controls.
Make room for each interaction
While the mascot follows you during the fuse repairs, keep shelves and pillars between you and it. Back away from a fusebox if the enemy closes in, then return when it moves off. Running to create a gap gives you room to complete the repair.
During the later floodlight-switch route, favour walking over constant sprinting. Time your interactions around the Bronto rather than trying to squeeze past its body. Once it destroys the front exit, turn back immediately and run towards the basement stairs.
Escape when the Bronto blocks the exit
- Approach the exit to the right of the office after powering the floodlights; this triggers the Bronto obstruction.
- Turn back immediately when the Bronto destroys the exit so you can retreat towards the basement.
- Run to the already opened basement stairs to leave the blocked front doors behind.
- Jump across the platforms on the escape route to continue deeper into the basement.
- Follow the route onward into the caverns to finish the first chapter.
